SharePoint Fundamentals

This presentation was designed to introduce the fundamental concepts and elements of SharePoint 2013. The audience was moderately technical, but not familiar with SharePoint objects, structures, or capabilities. The goals were two-fold: 1) provide enough information for a reasonably complete understanding of the platform and 2) focus on the basic ideas, not get mired in obscure details.

At the conclusion of the session, an exercise was given to assess comprehension and provide hands-on practice with the core concepts. The exercise was based on a hosted Office365 SharePoint 2013 Enterprise platform. Installation was not required and the limitations for a hosted environment were taken into account.
